I______________ am a participant in Yoga Mandir's Program Director Training. In lieu of tutition I will donate my time for 12 to 18 months. My goal is to obtain training, scholarly education, and hands on experience. Generally I will be trained in the following:

Participatory Management
Liberation Theory/Political Economy
Democratic Decision Making
Process and Structure
Technology and Administration
S.P.I.N Sales Training
Fund Raising

Specifically, I will be a student in the teacher- training program. I will attend Yoga Mandir's instructors' classes as often as possible (recommended at least 5 times a week for 6 months - unless I am exempt from portions of this due to previous experience-at the discretion of Yoga Mandir.) I will spend one month in a residential program furthering my studies. The program requested is at Sadhna Mandir in Rishekesh, India. I will also study and show an experiential knowledge of the texts used at the center. The texts and tapes are as follows:

For approximately 18 months I will be a member of the studio's management team. I will be responsible for many rote tasks. Depending on my ability and enthusiasm to demonstrate a working understanding of participatory management, challenging projects and tasks will be added to rote tasks.

I understand that remuneration is not offered. If and when financial aid is available it will be based on financial need and is distributed in the form of grants and loans. After completion of Yoga Mandir's director in training program I am eligible for a position as a program director and instructor of the studio. These positions are not guaranteed.

Involvement in this program requires the practice of humility. My ability to enjoy selfless service and education will help to eliminate my expectations of return for my actions. My humility and enjoyment of this program will give me the strength and skills to lead others by example at Yoga Mandir or in any other project I under take.
