Stress, anxiety, worry are realities in almost everybody’s work-a-day reality. If you have to be part of that every-day-reality – and most people do – these worries and irritations are probably inescapable – but they don’t have to be debilitating. Imagine if they could be turned into the opposite and transformed into fuel. Imagine if you could turn fears irritations and anxieties into a means of personal empowerment.
Think about the toss and tumble of the every-day world as the waves upon an ocean. You can drown in these waves, but if you have the know-how and skills, you can surf these waves right into shore without even getting wet.
This much to be desired feat of mental dexterity can be learned. The purpose of this workshop is to teach the skill-sets of Atma Yoga that transform that which saps the life-force, into its invigorating opposite. ‘Stress to empowerment’ is an extraordinary journey into the nature of mind. its relation to soul, and that extraordinary machine you are riding around in: your body.
The workshop provides 3 day’s insight into the nature of self. Insight, however, needs to be coupled to an action plan. You will learn how to plot an escape from the nightmarish realm of shadow and reflection where:
1. mind is held prisoner,
2. soul(the real you)lies unconscious,
3. body suffers.
Your escape route will lead you through the five layers of the self. Each step inward from the dark bindings of everyday nescience will open you up to new experiences of confidence, comfort, possibility.
Transformation however is not free. You will have to pay. You will pay in will and persistence. The journey is not easy nor always fun. It will require courage.
You must not only be interested in looking deeper into the nature of your mind; you must also be willing to face what it may contain.
For the courageous the event promises to be a doorway into Yoga’s incarnation for the Twenty-first century.
This program can turn your world upside down. Everyday issues such as anger, irritation, and frustration can be come your wealth.Each difficult experience of daily life can be used to create a new inner reality.
“Transform stress to empowerment,” is the result of eight years of study, investigation, and field applications.
To unlock the healing, and empowering nature of stress, Atma Yoga reaches back to the earliest known days of yoga and builds on the mostly forgotten tenets of yoga psychology.
The information is drawn from many of the classic Sanskrit texts. Some of the texts are Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta Sutra, Shiva samita, Gherand samita, yoga sutra of Patanjali, Bhagavata purana, Shiva Purana, Manduki Upanishad, Kundalini Upanishad.
Many other Vedic texts were used as well as the teachings from different systems of Yoga. Some of the systems used to create this science of stress include, Samkya Yoga, Laya, Yoga, Swara yoga, Nada Yoga, Pranayama Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Kundalini yoga, Raja Yoga, Adhyatma Yoga, Bhakti yoga, Buddhi Yoga, and Japa Yoga. All of these unitive disciplines combine in Atma Yoga.
Atma Yoga is an ancient discipline that has been retooled according to current time and circumstance. It is the complete approach for the thoroughly modern yogi.
Becoming a modern yogi is no small thing. The modern yogi is the next generation hero. Heroes are the selfless leaders of society. Self-satisfied, kind, intelligent and spiritually aware are just some of the qualifications of the modern yogi.
